2020 Polls: Sammy Gyamfi Outlines 18 Promises NDC Government Will Fulfill If Mahama Is Elected

The opposition National Democratic Congress has outlined 18 comprehensive manifesto promises it says will be fulfilled if its presidential candidate, John Mahama is elected during the December polls. National Communication Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi during a press conference in Accra described the upcoming general elections as a referendum on President Akufo-Addo’s performance.  In Mr Gyamfi’s view, the president has failed to fulfill the “numerous verbose campaign promises made to Ghanains in 2016.” He noted that the comfort and transformation Ghanaians were promised by President Akufo-Addo and the NPP have become a dream. “Today, cost of living is so high and unbearable for the vast majority of Ghanaians due to the bad governance of President Akufo-Addo,” he stated. Obour Loses Primaries After Recount: His Dream As MP Dies With His Father

On May 17 2020, Obour spoke on the Entertainment Review show on Peace FM that it pained him that his father didn't wait to see his success as MP. He said, this year was going to be his 75th Birthday, and he had planned with his siblings to celebrate it for him to crown his victory at the primaries. He disclosed that it was his father's dream that he become an MP for Asante Akyem South Constituency. Yet he is no more to see his success. The Primaries for Asante Akyem South Constituency has come to an end. It was first revealed that he won the election, but after the recount, he has lost the seat to Hon. Former Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) president, Bice Osei Kuffour also known as Obour has won the Asante Akyem South Constituency primaries in the Ashanti Region. Obour contested with three other people including the incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Kwaku Asante Boateng, who has served two terms on the ticket of the NPP. Obour was on the bench of loosing after several accusations from his colleague musician came through that he is not a good leader. Criss Waddle and Dblack constantly compaign against him on social media before today’s primaries. NDC launches ‘corruption tracker’ series to check Akufo-Addo government

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched what it calls the Corruption Tracker Series. According to the party, the initiative is a platform that seeks to expose misappropriation and embezzlement of state funds by officials of the Akufo-Addo government. The party also says the tracker will give Ghanaians evidence of failed promises under the Akufo-Addo government.  During the launch in Accra on Monday [June 8, 2020] the National Communication Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi who outlined some alleged scandals in the said the tracker will help Ghanaians appreciate how corruption within the Akufo-Addo government is denying them of basic needs. “As a responsible opposition with the responsibility of keeping government on its toes, the NDC is today embarking on a corruption tracker series to track the status of the countless cases of corruption we have witnessed under the Akufo-Addo government in the last three and half years.
